Terms and Conditions for PD Renovations
Last Updated: October 6th, 2025
Welcome to PD Home Renovations (“the Company”, “we”, “our,” or “us”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website, communications, and all related renovation, design, and contracting services offered by PD Home Renovations.
By accessing our website or engaging with our services, you agree to comply with these Terms and all applicable laws.
If you do not agree with these Terms, please refrain from using our website or services.
1. Company Overview
PD Home Renovations is a residential and commercial renovation company serving the Waterloo Region and surrounding areas.
Our services include:
Kitchen, bathroom, and basement renovations
Custom design and build projects
Home additions and remodeling
Flooring, tiling, and painting services
These Terms apply to all services, quotations, and agreements made between PD Home Renovations and its clients.
2. Estimates and Quotes
All project quotes are valid for 30 days from the issue date unless otherwise stated in writing.
Quotes are based on current material prices, labour rates, and project scope provided by the client.
Any changes to materials, design, or scope after approval may result in a revised estimate or additional charges.
We reserve the right to adjust pricing if supplier costs, material availability, or project conditions change.
Clients will be informed of any adjustments before additional costs are incurred.
3. Deposits and Payments
A deposit is required to secure a project start date and initiate material ordering.
The remaining balance is due according to the agreed payment schedule outlined in your contract or invoice.
Payments can be made by e-transfer, cheque, or credit card (processing fees may apply).
Late payments may incur interest charges as permitted under Ontario law.
Failure to pay in accordance with these terms may result in suspension of work, withholding of materials, or legal collection measures.
4. Project Timelines
We strive to complete all projects within the agreed timeframe; however:
Project timelines are estimates only and depend on material availability, weather, site conditions, and third-party dependencies.
PD Home Renovations is not responsible for delays caused by supplier shortages, permit approvals, or work by other contractors.
Any delay beyond our control does not constitute breach of contract.
We will communicate all schedule updates promptly and work to minimize disruptions.
5. Client Responsibilities
Clients agree to:
Provide access to the property during agreed working hours
Ensure the work area is clear of personal belongings and hazards
Approve all design, layout, and material selections before construction begins
Obtain necessary approvals or permits not handled by the Company (if applicable)
If project delays occur due to client inaction, indecision, or lack of access, additional labour or rescheduling fees may apply.
6. Changes and Additions
Any changes or additional work requested after project commencement must be:
Approved in writing by both parties
Quoted separately or added via a change order
Paid for before or upon completion of the added work
Verbal agreements or casual requests are not considered binding until confirmed in writing.
7. Materials and Finishes
All materials are selected based on client approval prior to purchase.
Natural materials (such as wood, stone, or tile) may have variations in colour, pattern, or texture — these are not defects.
Substitutions may occur if a product is discontinued or unavailable, but only with client approval of comparable quality and appearance.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
PD Home Renovations shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages related to the use of our services or website.
Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the total amount paid by the client for the specific project.
We are not responsible for damages caused by third-party contractors or pre-existing structural conditions.
9. Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellations made before project commencement may be subject to administrative or restocking fees.
Deposits are non-refundable once materials have been ordered or custom work has begun.
Refunds, where applicable, will be processed in writing and approved by management.
If a project must be canceled due to unforeseen circumstances, both parties will act in good faith to settle outstanding costs fairly.
10. Intellectual Property
All design concepts, drawings, and project plans created by PD Home Renovations remain the intellectual property of the Company until the project is fully paid.
Clients may not share, reproduce, or distribute design documents with third parties without written permission.
11. Privacy and Data Protection
Your personal information is protected under our Privacy Policy, available at https://pdrenovations.ca/privacy-policy/
